Aida the Green Interpreter

A graduate in Translation and Interpreting and Applied Languages from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC-UVic/UCC). I provide translation and interpreting services in Spanish, Catalan, English and German to different direct clients, agencies and international organisations. Mallorcan born and raised, I have been based in Glasgow, Scotland, since 2016.
Since 2020, I have been working in the field of renewable energy, climate change, sports, and humanitarian development. These specialisations are a reflection of my personality, as I consider myself a nature and animal lover, water sports enthusiast, and I care about sustainable and fair development on an international scale.

I combine my work as a translator and interpreter with teaching: I work as a teaching assistant at the UOC-UVic/UCC, and I also teach translation and interpreting at AulaSic, and ISTRAD.
I am a member of Asetrad (Spain), ITI (UK) and BDÜ (Germany). These associations have contributed towards shaping and teaching me the values which I believe in.

Finally, I continue my academic studies through the study of British Sign Language (BSL).
